We are accepting applications for fee-for-service psychotherapist positions on a rolling basis!
The Gender & Sexuality Therapy Center is a group private practice offering competent and knowledgeable psychotherapy for adolescents, adults, partnerships, and families in NY.
We're currently accepting applications on a rolling basis for fee-for-service psychotherapists with a preference for full-time positions (25 completed sessions per week) and therapists interested in having 20+ sessions/week.
G&STC specializes in gender, sex, and sexuality with specific expertise regarding working with LGBTQ+ folks, kink/BDSM, fetish sexualities, sex workers, and sexual-related issues such as sexual anxiety, sexual pain, sexual functioning, and sexually compulsive behavior. We provide a range of services, including psychotherapy, supervision, workshops, and consultation.
G&STC transitioned to 100% remote work in March 2020 and has remained 100% remote since.
G&STC only hires clinician’s who reside in NY or NJ.

Phone consultations
Full-time position: Provides psychotherapy services to a caseload minimum of ~28-30 clients, including individuals, couples, partnerships with 3+ people, and families . Full time is considered 25 completed sessions per week . Smaller caseloads of 20-24 may be possible
Part-time position: Provides psychotherapy services to a caseload minimum of ~18, including individuals, couples, partnerships with 3+ people, and families .
Maintains case notes, logs, and all required documentation
Provide group therapy, as needed
Blog writing 4x/year
Participates in weekly specialized individual and group clinical supervision and monthly team meeting
Assists in the creation and implementation of G&STC workshops, training and seminars, as opportunities arise
Marketing tasks for self and G&STC

Possess an LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, MHC, or LMHC and be licensed in New York
Resides in NY or NJ
Commit to a minimum of 3 years with G&STC (we know this can be intimidating and we are looking for therapists who want a place to set up roots to come and grow with us!)
Education, training, and demonstrated success in implementing modalities, such as CBT, IFS, mindfulness treatments, trauma-informed practices, somatic treatments, and psychodynamic psychotherapy
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Be available to see clients on at least 1 weekend day, early mornings and evenings
At least 1 years of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy
At least 1 years of experience in providing individual, couples, multiple-partner relationships, and/or family therapy
At least 1 year of experience in providing therapy to LGBTQ+, kinky, and non-monogamous individuals
At least 1 year of experience in providing therapy for sexual related issues such as sexual anxiety, sexual functioning, sexual pain compulsive sexual behaviors
Must have a high level of competence with gender, sex, and sexuality with specific expertise regarding all or some of the following: working with lgbtq+ folks, alt sexualities, and sexual related issues such as sexual anxiety, sexual functioning, sexually compulsive behavior, sexual discomfort, and pain, etc
Organized and able to submit progress notes and respond to emails in a timely manner, and in accordance with G&STC policies

Onboarding Stipend (Part-time and full time: $225)
$45-55 per session depending on licensure and experience (Part-time and full time)
Sick pay (Part-time and full time: 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours) + Paid time off (Full time: 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked), ~3 weeks of accrued/combined Sick & PTO for full time

Clinical Coordinator (Therapist + Supervisor position)
G&STC is accepting applications for the Clinical Coordinator position.
The Gender & Sexuality Therapy Center’s (G&STC) Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and development of the clinical staff of G&STC of their designated team. The Clinical Coordinator will provide scheduled clinical supervision and consultation as needed to clinicians on their team, support clinicians in following policies and procedures and promote a positive work culture at their location. The Clinical Coordinator must have a positive and supportive approach towards G&STC, its employees, and clients. The Clinical Coordinator must also maintain a minimum clinical caseload of 20 completed sessions per week and 15 hours for clinical coordinator-based tasks. This is a full-time, exempt position requiring 30+ hours of work per week.
On a case by case basis, G&STC will hire a Clinical Coordinator who only supervises and doesn’t see clients.

Provide psychotherapy services to ~24 clients (20 completed clinical sessions per week), including individuals, couples, partnerships with 3+ people, and families
Maintains case notes and other documentation
Provide group therapy, as needed
Clinical Coordinator Role (15 hours)
Oversees clinical work of your team at your designated location (7-8 FT therapists)
Provides weekly individual and group clinical supervision to your team
Ensures all documentation of clinical team including treatment plans, contact logs and progress notes are completed in a timely manner
Attends administrative meetings and other relevant meetings
Participates in clinical and administrative supervision with Clinical Director
Functions as team lead, including hiring, staff management, performance evaluations, and onboarding your team’s therapists
Is proactive and responsible in holding clinicians accountable in note content and timeliness, marketing/blogging (if applicable), and overall performance of their job duties via in-person informal check-ins
Track retention of clinical team members
Proactively works towards improving the practice’s client experience and ensures client satisfaction by way of supervising clinicians
Any other team lead responsibilities as they arise
Stays up to date with all processes and/or procedures, including proposed changes, clinical issues, and successes
Understands and follows all policies and procedures of G&STC as a Supervisor and Clinician
Collaborates with the Director, Clinical Director, Admin staff, and New Client Coordinators on improving overall client and employee experience
Able to identify areas where G&STC needs improvement clinically and in client experience and initiate the improvement measures
Assists in and oversees creation and implementation of G&STC workshops, trainings and seminars, as needed

Possess an LCSW or LCSW-R and be licensed in New York (LMSW will be considered for this position if they have the relevant experience)

At least 4 years of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy
