Nicole Davis, LCSW, SEP, SIFI

Clinical Director & Supervisor

Pronouns: she/her/hers

I am excited to join the team at G&STC as the Clinical Director! After 12 years in private practice, I was burnt out on the isolation and loneliness of being a solo-practitioner, and was excited to once again be part of a team. I enjoy working collaboratively with other clinicians, and being part of a practice with such a wide range of both clients and clinicians.

About Nicole

Before starting my own practice, I worked at the Health Outreach to Teens program at the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, with queer and trans youth. I have also worked at the Gender & Family Project at the Ackerman Institute, where I co-facilitated groups for trans youth, and did trainings and presentations at schools and community organizations on how to be more gender inclusive.

Before my life as a therapist, I worked as a labor and community organizer in different parts of the US, but mostly in California. I have also worked for social justice organizations in fundraising, communications, facilitation, report writing, and a host of other things! In addition to my MSW, I have an MFA in nonfiction writing, and I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.

Working with Nicole

Although I don’t see clients at G&STC, my approach to therapy is to work collaboratively with clients to identify the areas in your life that aren’t working the way you would like them to, and to see how we can work together to make change. I believe in building strong relationships with clients, which means that I try to show up as a fully authentic and present person in our work together.

Specialty

As the Clinical Director at G&STC, I work with our therapists to make sure that we are providing the highest quality of care possible. I provide clinical supervision, develop our clinical policies and procedures, and am involved with hiring and onboarding new clinicians.  If you have any questions about our therapy services, please feel free to reach out!
